Organization: IMC Hospital (Integrated Medical Care), DHA Lahore | Website: imchospital.com.pk | Role: In-House Developer | Portfolio by: Powerwebsols
During my tenure as an in-house developer at IMC Hospital, also known as Integrated Medical Care Hospital, one of Lahore's most recognized private hospitals located in DHA Lahore, I contributed to the development and design of a comprehensive hospital digital solution. This project covered multiple critical components of the hospital's digital infrastructure, including the public-facing website, a patient user dashboard, an administrative management dashboard, dynamic digital prescription templates for doctors, and fully structured lab report designs for various hospital departments.
This work was carried out as part of my professional responsibilities within the organization. Every deliverable was built to meet the real operational demands of a busy, multi-specialty hospital environment where accuracy, clarity, and usability are not optional they are life-critical requirements. The solution I contributed to now serves hundreds of patients, doctors, and administrative staff daily at one of Lahore's leading private healthcare institutions.
IMC Hospital is a leading private hospital based in DHA Lahore, Pakistan. The hospital operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, providing state-of-the-art, quality, and integrated healthcare for all patients in conformance with strict service delivery standards. The hospital offers a wide range of medical specialties and departments under one roof, making it one of the most comprehensive private healthcare facilities in Lahore.
Serving a hospital of this scale and complexity required digital solutions that could keep pace with the volume, diversity, and sensitivity of daily operations. That is the environment in which I worked and delivered the components described in this portfolio entry.
As part of the in-house development team at IMC Hospital, I was responsible for designing and building several key digital components that are now actively used across the organization. Below is a detailed breakdown of each deliverable I contributed to during my time at the hospital.
I contributed to the design and development of the IMC Hospital public-facing website, accessible at imchospital.com.pk. The website serves as the primary digital touchpoint for patients, visitors, corporate partners, and medical professionals seeking information about the hospital's services, departments, doctors, and diagnostic offerings.
The website was designed to communicate trust, professionalism, and medical credibility. Key public-facing sections include the hospital's full department and services directory, a searchable doctors portal where patients can find specialists by name or specialty, an online appointment booking system, a pharmacy section, a diagnostics and lab test listing, a news and events section, a careers portal, and a complaints tracking system. The website also integrates direct links to the IMC Hospital mobile app available on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store, giving patients access to their records and services from their smartphones.
The overall website architecture was built to support a high volume of daily visitors while maintaining fast page load times, clean navigation, and clear calls to action for appointment booking, doctor search, and emergency contact access.
One of the most impactful contributions I made was the design of the patient user dashboard, the My IMC patient portal accessible through the website login system. This dashboard was designed to give patients a centralized, personal digital space where they can manage their entire healthcare journey with the hospital from a single interface.
The patient dashboard was designed with usability as the primary principle. Medical portals are often used by people who are not technically proficient and who may be under stress due to health concerns. The design prioritized clear visual hierarchy, simple navigation, readable typography, and immediate access to the most critical information patients need.
Patient Dashboard Features Designed
I also contributed to the design of the administrative management dashboard, a backend control panel used by hospital staff, department administrators, and management to oversee and manage hospital operations digitally. Unlike the patient-facing portal, the admin dashboard was designed for power users who require dense information access, bulk data management capabilities, and efficient workflow tools.
The admin dashboard design prioritized operational efficiency, with clearly organized modules for managing patient records, doctor profiles, appointment scheduling, lab report generation, prescription oversight, billing and outpatient receipt management, and department-level reporting. The interface was structured to minimize the number of clicks required to complete common administrative tasks, reducing time spent on digital operations and allowing hospital staff to focus more on patient care.
Admin Dashboard Modules Designed
One of the most technically specialized components I designed was the dynamic digital prescription system for IMC Hospital's doctors. In a hospital environment that sees a high volume of outpatient consultations daily across more than twenty specialties, the ability for doctors to write, manage, and issue prescriptions digitally is a critical operational requirement.
I designed prescription templates that allow doctors to select medicines from a structured database, specify dosages, frequencies, durations, and special instructions, and generate clean, professionally formatted prescription documents that can be printed or shared digitally with patients. The templates were designed to be department-specific where needed, accommodating the different prescribing patterns and medical terminology used across cardiology, neurology, gynaecology, paediatrics, and other departments.
Prescription Template Design Features
The dynamic nature of these prescription templates means that doctors can efficiently complete prescriptions during consultations without delays, improving both the doctor's workflow and the patient's experience. Accurate, clearly formatted prescriptions also reduce medication errors a patient safety benefit that gives this design work real clinical significance.
I designed complete laboratory report templates for IMC Hospital's diagnostics and lab division, covering multiple test categories and departments. Lab reports are among the most critically read documents in healthcare they are reviewed by doctors to make diagnosis decisions and by patients to understand their health status. Every design decision in these templates was made with clarity, accuracy, and professional medical presentation as the primary objectives.
The lab report designs were structured to include all required medical information in a logical reading order, with clear separation between different test panels, reference range indicators, and result highlighting for out-of-range values. IMC Hospital's diagnostics division offers lab testing, radiology, and imaging services, all of which required distinct but consistently branded report layouts.
Lab Report Design Features
I also contributed to the design of outpatient receipt templates used at IMC Hospital's registration and billing counters. These receipts serve as official financial records for patients receiving outpatient consultations, diagnostic services, pharmacy purchases, and other billable services. The receipt designs were structured to clearly display service descriptions, itemized charges, applicable taxes, payment method, and the hospital's official billing information in a professional, easy-to-read format.
The IMC Hospital website I contributed to is a feature-rich, fully dynamic healthcare platform that goes far beyond a basic informational website. It functions as a complete digital front-end for the hospital's operations, connecting patients, doctors, and administrative staff through a unified digital interface.
My contributions to the IMC Hospital digital project allowed me to apply and sharpen a broad range of design and development skills in a demanding real-world healthcare environment. Working within an in-house team at a large private hospital required not only technical capability but also the ability to understand clinical workflows, communicate with medical professionals about their operational needs, and translate those needs into functional, accurate digital designs.
It is important to note that this project was completed as part of my professional employment within IMC Hospital's organization. The website and all related digital systems are officially powered by Contech International, the organization's primary technology partner. My contributions were made as a member of the in-house development team during my tenure at the hospital, and the work I delivered was integrated into the hospital's broader digital infrastructure as part of an organized, collaborative development effort.
This experience gave me deep exposure to the complexity of enterprise-level healthcare software design, where every design decision carries implications for patient safety, data accuracy, regulatory compliance, and clinical workflow efficiency. It is an experience that has meaningfully shaped my capabilities as a developer and designer capabilities that I now bring to every project delivered through Powerwebsols.

Working on the IMC Hospital digital solution is one of the most professionally significant experiences in my career as a developer and designer. Healthcare digital systems are among the most complex and high-stakes environments in which a developer can work. Prescriptions must be accurate. Lab reports must be legible and correctly structured. Dashboards must be intuitive under pressure. And websites must build trust instantly for patients who are often anxious, unwell, or making urgent decisions about their health.
The skills, discipline, and attention to detail that this experience demanded are directly reflected in the quality of work that Powerwebsols delivers for every client whether it is a business website, an online tools platform, a job portal, or a full enterprise digital solution. Healthcare is where the standards are highest, and it is that standard I bring to every project.
